Professor Olu Ogunnika -
Boardmember - received his
PhD from the New School for Social Research
in New York. He has been influenced by Professor
Akiwowo's idea of a “Sociology
for one world” - Akiwowo’s
attempt to introduce traditional African (Yoruba)
knowledge into the understanding of the complex
modern industrial society. He says this will
enable the people of the world to understand
themselves through one language without necessarily
dropping off their own particular language.
The new technology in communication will therefore
be of importance and benefit to the peoples
of the world irrespective of place, language
or culture. |

Professor Akinsola Akiwowo - Boardmember
& Cultural and Social Affairs Consultant
- has a PhD in sociology and anthropology.
After being in inspired by Professor
Robert S. Hartman's theory of the Structure
of Value in college, his central interest
and concern has been how the science of value
- axiology - could be applied
to the discipline of sociology. He hopes to
spend some of his remaining years exploring
Dr. Hartman's assertion that axiology indeed
did have a part to play in the intellectual
development of sociology as a science of human
society. |

in 2 important Federal programs, at the US Environmental
Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy,
in the US Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana

farming systems (IFS), he began working with
Gunter Pauli's Zero

taking him to nearly 80 countries. Through he
developed his own version of the IFS; the Integrated
Food and Waste Management System (IF&WMS).
Most recently he has introduced this technology
in Brazil with TECPAR (a research institute
in Parana State). Because of the momentum in
Brazil, he feels at least partially gratified
