Title: HIV AIDS Musical Album Program/Initiative
Program Design: Project will target the young people who are at great risk to the spread of AIDS. However the campaign will be designed to appeal to all age ground. This event will include promotion of the event before its launch through the media and live shows.
Objective: Demonstrate practical role of ICT to create more awareness of HIV/AIDS.
Project Duration: Project is ongoing. Subsequent support of this project is welcome at all time and that's what makes it a continuous project. The exact amount of CDs produced will be determined by the amount of money raised. Subsequent support of this project is welcome at all time and there will be a donation link at the project page on the OVF website.
We hope to start the fundraising to do the mass production which the officially distribution starts on the 24th Annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day to be held on Sunday, May 20, 2007. CDs will be distributed free to everybody that attend.
Evaluation Process: Evaluation form will be given to all the attendees who receive the musical CDs at the 24th Annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial to provide their comments. And also a feedback form will be available on the website for feedback by those that receive the CDs by post.
Rationale: This program will meet the mission of OVF through a multi-sector approach that includes development of the Culture and Tradition Pillar of while using ICT as a tool to stimulate and direct creativity to promote AIDS awareness.
Outreach and Promotion: OVF Nigeria will conduct outreach efforts to promote this program by working with our network. In addition to this, we are working on a website to show case this project, we also intend to reach out through yahoogroups, newsletters and various medium.
Target Groups: This program will focus on youth, but include all members of the population. Youth are the focus because they are most open to change and in countries like Nigeria the youth is a very large portion and disproportionate portion of the population. |
